I continue to be stumped by my body post-pregnancy. The sodium thing has really confused me. I weighed in at JC last night and I was up a pound. I was depressed and furious; I had worked out twice this week and had switched my diet around so my body wasn't getting used to the same things. The only thing I could think of that I'd done differently was switched from Fat-free Ranch this week to Fat-Free Wasabi and Fat-free Catalina. I compared the ingredients and the only difference to the ranch was that they were like 50g higher in sodium and had 5g sugar instead of ranch's 1g. So I switched to my regular dressing and I'm down again. Utterly ridiculous. My consultant wants me to get tested again for diabetes because she thinks I'm so sensitive to sugar and she chalks the sodium up to my hormones still being weird. Strange and annoying since fat-free dressing is supposed to be a "free." On a positive note, I lost 4 more inches! It cannot be explained; my clothing sizes have gotten smaller but no weight loss?? It sometimes make me wonder if I should just go ahead with the 2nd baby now while my body is still in the crapper and then work extremely hard once I'm done?. Ugh, but the thought of two babies at once is ludicrous! I'm kind of getting to the point where I say, who cares? I stick to the diet to a T and if eating ketchup or walking my dogs causes me to gain weight then so be it. I do not have control and I am not going to stop walking my dogs just because I end up gaining .4 pounds from it!
